I've only recently begun paying closer attention to mythical creatures...and heard the word "cryptid" for the first time soon after I made my Bigfoot ornament. I tend to only do figures/shapes that I feel a connection with....thus, after having lived in WV for a small chunk of my life, and learning that Mothman was first seen there....I felt I had to make him!
Mothman is done in copper with a flame patina, with red glass bead eyes that move a bit. He measures approx. 2 3/4 inch wide from wing to wing.
I've done two versions, see last photo in listing for more info. Both are cute/wonderful/adorable....I started out with a favorite, but then the not-favorite has begun to grow on me :P So take your pick! Either one will make you smile...literally, every time I catch a glimpse of them hanging in my workshop "stock area", I grin.
Each ornament is hand-made one at a time, the coloring in yours can and will differ somewhat from that in the photos. He’s ready to come hang out with you, whether that be on your Christmas holiday tree (or maybe a Halloween tree?) or any place you need something to make you smile ;)
